SKU — KW20

A French cheese mold in salt-glazed stoneware, standing on three small clay feet. Two rows of hand-punched holes down the walls, a diamond of drain holes through the base — everything about it is built for letting whey run away from fresh curd.

Unmarked, France, circa 1890–1940. Warm nut-brown glaze with the orange-peel surface that salt firing gives, unglazed buff clay underneath.

Condition: very good. No chips or cracks. Firing pinholes and faint joining lines at the feet.

Measurements: H 8 × D 10 cm / H 3.1 × D 3.9 in.

Use it for a pillar candle, dried stems, or leave it on a shelf on its own.
