SKU — KW21-22

Two tall bail-top bottles in stoneware, near enough in height to stand as a pair and different enough to be worth having both — one in pale French grès that turns faintly green where the glaze runs thick, the other heavier and thickly potted in a quiet cream.

The slim one carries a small round pottery stamp low on the body, worn too shallow to read, so the maker stays unknown. France, circa 1900–1940. The cream one is unmarked, Northern European, circa 1930–1960. Both keep their white porcelain stoppers.

Material: stoneware (grès), unglazed bases, iron and wire bail closures.

Condition: very good. The iron bail on the French bottle is rusted stiff, and the rubber washers on both have hardened, so neither seals — display and dry storage. Fine glaze crackle at the neck of the cream bottle.

Measurements: H 31 × D 9 cm / H 12.2 × D 3.5 in · H 32 × D 8 cm / H 12.6 × D 3.1 in.

A good height for single stems or dried grasses.
