The Gustavian Cream & Sugar Set – Hallbergs GAB
Antique Swedish silver plate cream and sugar set by Hallbergs GAB, Stockholm, in Gustavian revival style with gilded interior, ca 1900–1910.
Hallbergs Guldsmedsaktiebolaget — founded in Stockholm in 1860 by Carl Gustaf Hallberg — was Sweden's most prestigious silver house, holding the royal warrant for generations. This matched two-piece set is decorated with draped flower garlands, beaded medallions, vertical fluting, and acanthus-clad feet. Open the sugar bowl and you find a gilded interior, warm and intact — a mark of quality that set the finest pieces apart. Both pieces in excellent antique condition, silver plate well preserved with all relief decoration crisp.
