The Shell Dishes
The Shell Dishes
Found at a brocante in Amiens — two matching shell dishes in the thinnest white porcelain, unmistakably old. No maker's mark, but every detail speaks: the slight irregularity of the clay, the delicate ribbing, the glaze that shifts between white and cream. The kind of piece that does its quiet work at the table — holding butter, fleur de sel, or nothing at all.
- Condition: Very good. No cracks or chips. Sold as a pair.
- Measures: L 11.5 × W 8.5 × H 2.5 cm / L 4.5 × W 3.3 × H 1.0 in
