A low compotier on a pedestal foot in cream terre de fer, transfer-printed in a soft blue-grey with roses, rococo scrollwork and a fine cross-hatched trellis border.
The same band repeats around the foot.
Unmarked — probably France , turn of the century, c. 1890–1920.
Condition: very good. No chips or cracks; fine crazing on the underside and light age-consistent wear in the well.

CM: H 5.5 × D 23.5
INCH: H 2.2 × D 9.25
Low enough to sit at the centre of a table, with a candle, a plant, or nothing at all.
