Found at a market in Provence, this footed compotier was made by the faïencerie of Saint-Amand in northern France in the early 1900s. The pattern is called "Cahors" — garlands of flowers in soft teal green, framed by a trellis border that repeats around the pedestal foot.

Once the centerpiece of the French dessert table, it now makes a lovely small cake stand or fruit dish. Good antique condition: no chips or cracks, with fine crazing and soft age-toned staining to the glaze. Please see photos.

Measurements: 23.5 cm in diameter, 5.5 cm high (9.25 in × 2.2 in).
