Found at a market in Amiens, northern France.

A pedestal compote in French terre de fer, made by Saint-Amand between roughly 1920 and 1950 and marked with the pattern name Pompadour. A teal blue transfer-printed border of rococo scrolls and lace runs around the bowl and the foot, leaving the creamy centre open and calm.

Remarkably fine condition — no crazing, no chips, no cracks. A tiny glaze pop at the bowl's edge and a faint firing mark on the underside remain from the kiln, both shown in the photos. Lovely as a cake stand, a fruit bowl or a quiet lift for the table.

Measurements: height 12 cm (4.7 in), diameter 24 cm (9.4 in).

All items are antique or vintage and may show small signs of age and use — part of their authenticity and charm. Please review the photos closely, or contact me for more details. Each piece is carefully wrapped and sent with tracked shipping.
