The Swedish Gravy Boat
The Swedish Gravy Boat
Found at a flea market on Väddö, an island on the Swedish east coast. A small gravy boat in white Swedish flintware with the oval underplate attached — fired in one piece so the stand catches every drip.
Pieces like this were everyday staples of the Swedish potteries around 1890–1930; the fluted body and scrolled handle give it a quiet rococo character. Unmarked apart from a small impressed G on the base, possibly Gustavsberg. Fine antique condition with light crazing and a few small age spots — no chips or cracks.
Measurements: Height 12 cm (4.7 in) × Width 11 cm (4.3 in) × Length 20 cm (7.9 in).
All items are antique or vintage and may show small signs of age and use — part of their authenticity and charm. Please review the photos closely, or contact me for more details. Each piece is carefully wrapped and sent with tracked shipping.
